Summer Training

Overview

The pilot version of the Professional Module took place in June 2021 during the First GrEnFIn Summer Training, the purpose of which was to test the content and methodology of the learning path. It was an unmissable opportunity to experience technical issues on green energy and sustainable finance, quantitative analysis and topics in economic policy and business, coherently with the practices and the needs of a large array of market and operational contexts. In this regard, Professional Module was designed in 3 sections: the first two sections were composed of video lessons held by experts from the energy companies and University Partners that were part of the Consortium. The 3 days of Summer Training from 7 to 9 June 2021 (originally planned in Katowice and redesigned later online due to the pandemic situation) were focused to the development of the section 3, represented by a case study on a very topical issue for the energy sector. Representative persons belonging to the different categories of firms (Producers/Suppliers, Traders/Retailers or End users) were involved in the Training experience. The applications and the following selection were performed between February 28 and March 26 and 30 professionals were selected. Professionals attending the training experience were awarded a certificate, with the logo of the issuing institutions, describing the skills and competences acquired.

Past Edition

In line with the key elements of the Innovation Union and the EU Higher Education Modernisation Agenda, the GrEnFIn Erasmus+/Knowledge Alliance project aims to provide the Energy Sector's stakeholders (energy providers, private companies, research institutes) the figure of the Sustainable Energy experts professional, i.e. European high skilled professionals capable to face the changing challenges in the field with an inclusive global logic. Its main expected results are the development of an innovative Joint Master Degree in the Green Energy and Finance targeting young students, but also a Professional Module to train companies' staff and experts already active in the labor market.
